How do I start my SEO strategy?

How do I start my SEO strategy?

What have you done thus far? If the answer is nothing, you're going to want to use one of the SEO Audit tools to run a basic site audit. This will allow you to find and rectify any broken links, make sure all your meta tags are in order, and check page load speeds.

Google's Search Console also has a great "Crawl Errors" tool, in addition to other tools that help you diagnose your site's speed and usability. Once your current pages are in order, get cracking on keyword research, and start putting out some content!

However, if you have for years conducted SEO on your site and it's not cutting it, then you really should get a professional Site Audit done on your site.  This usually will consist of a 60 page report, take ~ one month to complete, and cost ~$3,500US.  The difference between using an off-the-shelf Audit tool and a formal Site Audit is the detail in what is wrong: like site navigation issues, site speed issues, WordPress release, WordPress Template, and WordPress Plug in compatibility and revision issues, etc.

No off the shelf tool addresses this, let alone, how to fix them.  For more detail check out our Site Health or Site Audit section.

What is Cross-linking? What is the function of Crosslinking?

What is Cross-linking? What is the function of Crosslinking? 1.Cross-linking is the process of linking one site to another site. 2.It provides users with reference sites that contain the content related to the search. 3.The 2 websites cross-linking do not be owned by the same person. 4.In other words, cross-linking is a barter wherein I link to you, and you link to me. 5.It could be a 2-way link or 3-way link. In a 2-way link site A links to site B and site B links to site A. In a 3-way link, site A links to site B, site B links to site C and site C links to site A. ---  Answered by:  James Catanich

Why won’t people come to our content?

Why won’t people come to our content? The short answer is that people in charge lacked a basic understanding of SEO.  A slightly longer answer is they didn’t do link building and outreach, or perhaps they didn’t produce content that was “link worthy” in the first place. Imagine a restaurant would open in the middle of the desert. Would you go? Even if you knew it existed, you would probably not go – unless that restaurant had unique food (value) to offer you.  If you want people to come to your content, you need to: Create unique content that they can’t get anywhere else. If you’re just getting started, make sure you start with a WOW factor – for example, invite an influencer to write a guest post or interview a key figure in your industry. That will help you get initial traction. Invite them to come – Make sure you target the right audience that needs/wants your content and let them know the content is there, be it through social media, newsletters, SEM, or any other re...
